TGS09 Valkyria Chronicles 2 Trailer

Looks like the Official Website for Valkyria Chronicles 2 have posted videos from TGS2009 with Trailers and Character cutscenes. The game play does not look too bad seeing how they managed to squeeze a PS3 sized game engine into a PSP.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker TGS 09 Trailer

Check out the new MGS Peace Walker trailer that edited by Hideo Kojima on Final Cut pro, now showing at Tokyo Game Show 2009. There is a demo for attendees at the show but I am sure it will surface on the internet later. The official site has also launched with new information on the game’s characters.

Persona 3 Portable PV2

A second update video to the PSP port of Persona 3 featuring more battles and the adventure story modes through school and other areas.

With some exceptions to how you navigate through the story events of the game. Persona 3 for PSP, looks no different from the PS2 Version that came out a few years ago. The suicide head shot of the female lead still looks creepy and cool.

Kingdom hearts Birth by Sleep 1st Trailer

SQUARE-ENIX has released a new trailer for its upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep game on PSP.

The new Disney characters will be from Snow White, Lilo and Stitch, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. When looking at the trailer the gameplay scenes seems to be using the same engine as DISSIDIA which is good as the graphics produced on the PSP are top notch, I can’t really say that for the cutscenes as it seems to be similar to the PS2 versions. The Japanese version will be coming out sometime in later 2009.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Teaser Trailer PV

Valkyria Chronicles 2: The Royal Military Academy of Gallia, what a long tag line, has its 1st teaser trailer for the game, its nice to see they are using anime cutscene instead of the PSP “CANVAS” engine which will be impossible to replicate its PS3 counterpart. The official site Blog seems to have been updated with more information on the gameplay and the character art.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker GC09

Here is the 2nd Epic Trailer to the PSP tactical game MGS: Peace Walker. It will feature new Co-OP play in the single player modes. I like how the trailer was edited as a silent dialogue movie.

R-Type Tactics 2: Operation Bitter Chocolate

I just started playing the 1st R-Type Tactics game for the PSP by iRem, and now a 2nd one is coming title R-Type Tactics II Operation Bitter Chocolate. I do like the attract movie showing one of the more heavy armored ships (The red Ship). I do wonder what does Operation Bitter Chocolate mean. The game comes out 2009.10.29 in Japan.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Officially Announced!

The website has finally launched yesterday and Edy and Homer had the ‘pleasure’ of unveiling the game on the Site’s Blog. It was a nice way of introducing the series using the characters on the Blog. I do look forward to the coming updates. The game is set to launch in 2009 in Japan most probably together with the PSP Go launch.

Siliconera reports that there will be Ad-Hoc play for the PSP so groups can get together to play with the Blitz System.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Reports to School

Famitsu has a news article on the upcoming Valkyria Chronicles 2. The game takes place 2 years after the 1st game and focus on a group of students engaged in battles. The main premise is a young officer in training has been called into action to stop a civil war in southern Gallia. The new revealed cast of characters, ‘Zari’, ‘Cosette’ and ‘Aban Harden’ looks rather cool but typical of the usual school-story animes you are familar with. The medic character design Cosette is rather cute though.

The game will retain the same look as its PS3 counterpart utilizing the CANVAS engine ported to the PSP.

Qruton

Qruton (Numblast in the West) Looks like an interesting numbers puzzle game from the PlayStation Japan Studios. The offcial japanese sites seems to be updated with a nice little manga.

The goal of Qruton is to clear numbered blocks by rotating numbered blocks to make a 2 x 2 square of 1s, 2s, 3s or 4s. Squares with the same number act as starting points for chain combos. When the blocks count up you can match different blocks and potentially clear the board as shown in this video.

New Final Fantasy Agito XIII Trailer PV

Included with the Final Fantasy XIII demo is a brand new trailer of the PSP game FINAL FANTASY Agito XIII. This new trailer sports some new multilayer feature. The game story seems to be more fleshed out in this one but it looks like a usual story of two sides fighting a war over resources.

I do hope the team from DISSIDIA does some of the gameplay cause DISSIDIA was fun to play and control the characters. I do hope to see more of the card system as of now it looks like a standard action game.
