TGS09 Valkyria Chronicles 2 Trailer

Looks like the Official Website for Valkyria Chronicles 2 have posted videos from TGS2009 with Trailers and Character cutscenes. The game play does not look too bad seeing how they managed to squeeze a PS3 sized game engine into a PSP.

Vocaloid x K-ON

Over at Nico Nico video some fans have created a fan video of the K-ON Opening “VOCAON” featuring the characters of Vocaloid singing to Cagayake Girls! OP music used in k-on. Crossover characters: Miku (Yui), Rin (Ritsu), Meiko (Mugi), and somewhat fitting Neru as Mio.

Macross Crossover Concert

Macross Crossover Live A.D. 2009×45×4 Concert at Makuhari Messe convention complex near Tokyo, Japan. Begins 17 and 18 October 2009. Mari Iijima (Lynn Minmay in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross), Yoshiki Fukuyama (the singing voice of Macross 7’s Basara Nekki), Chie Kajiura (the singing voice of Macross 7’s Mylene Jenius), May’n (the singing voice of Macross Frontier’s Sheryl Nome), and Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier’s Ranka Lee) will be featured.

Sounds very cool and a good way to see the old school Macross Singers together with the new ones. I really would want a DVD recording of that concert! Really like Yoshiki Fukuyama singing! Check out the offcial site

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Officially Announced!

The website has finally launched yesterday and Edy and Homer had the ‘pleasure’ of unveiling the game on the Site’s Blog. It was a nice way of introducing the series using the characters on the Blog. I do look forward to the coming updates. The game is set to launch in 2009 in Japan most probably together with the PSP Go launch.

Siliconera reports that there will be Ad-Hoc play for the PSP so groups can get together to play with the Blitz System.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Reports to School

Famitsu has a news article on the upcoming Valkyria Chronicles 2. The game takes place 2 years after the 1st game and focus on a group of students engaged in battles. The main premise is a young officer in training has been called into action to stop a civil war in southern Gallia. The new revealed cast of characters, ‘Zari’, ‘Cosette’ and ‘Aban Harden’ looks rather cool but typical of the usual school-story animes you are familar with. The medic character design Cosette is rather cute though.

The game will retain the same look as its PS3 counterpart utilizing the CANVAS engine ported to the PSP.
