[Anime Bento] Watchlist Fall – Winter 2008

What are you going to watch this Fall? As written up earlier on my previous post. Here is a list of anime I would like to check out at least the 1st few episodes. I will be updating throughout the post with additional videos PVs for each series as I find them. Currently a bit busy with other things so will update later.

Vampire Knight Guilty

Okies a 2nd season of Vampire Knight in the trailer you can see Zero biting Kaname. Lots of fans will go wild seeing that one.

 

CLANNAD After Story

A top watching priority for me. Everyone loves CLANND after a successful 1st season. I expect it to have more emotional stuff in the 2nd one though.

Well its the official airing on TV and you can buy the episodes off the PLAYSTATION Network store.

 

Jigoku Shojo 3 (Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae)

I enjoyed the 1st season but missed the 2nd some did not like the story but I found it interesting and I like the different stories in this series, I do not know what Emma Ai will be up to in this one.

Ah Emma Ai, I enjoyed the 1st season but missed the 2nd. Some of my friends found the story a little meh, but I found it interesting and I like the different stories in this series, I do not know what Emma Ai will be up to in this one.

From J.C Staff comes another magical supernatural anime. I do hope its funny like Zero no Tsukaima.

 

Tales of the Abyss

I Blogged about the anime PV preview and found it rather eye-catching. I have a lot of faith since in the Tales Games story to be brought to live on anime.

I really like the character design for this anime, but I am not so sure if its going to hold me. I do expect it to be funny though.

 

Chaos Head

I like Eroge to anime adaptation but will need to see the 1st episode to see how it goes and it depends if MadHouse can deliver after their less than satisfactory Ultraviolet

 

Kyou no Go no Ni

Liked XEBEC previous productions so it will be top notch animation wise. Since it has light comedy sexual themes I am expecting a similar one to Kanokon.

Sounds like another another sort of religious spirit deity anime, but what makes me want to watch is the makers of Tetsuwan no BIridy makers are doing the animation so it will be of good quality. I will need to check out the 1st episdoe to see how things pan out.

Rest of the anime 2008 Previews:

Here are some other anime that is coming Out and  I have posted some of my impressions about it over at Abanzai! . I will most likely not be looking at it so much as blogging it. But maybe in the Future.

-Battle Spirits Shounen Toppa Bashin
Looks like another shonen anime that will compete with Soul Eater. I think thosewho like card games will resonate easily with this anime.

-Hakushaku to Yousei
Looks like a Love story based in old England. I really like the cat though.somehow when there is old 19th Centuray anime it seems to be aimed at girls who whant to have handsome man servants. But I do hope there will be action in this one since the story is more different.

-Tytania
I am not so sure about another Space themed anime with Macross Frontier distracting me but I will have to check out the 1st few episodes.

-Nodame Cantabile Paris-hen
I watched the live-action version of it and liked it very much, I like how Nodame is a clumsy and disorganised girl. I am sure the anime version will have more laughs than the live-action one.

 

-Stitch!
Not much comments about a Disney movie gave up after the stopped producing good movies like Lion King.

-Gundam 00 Second Season
Ah Gundam I love the new Gundams in Gundam 00, it kind of like a prequal to the Gundam’s we know of today and with the subtext story of war in our world today. But I wonder is it necessary for such a plot for Gundam? I Stopped watching Gundam 00 after Shana came on screen. Maybe if the 2nd Season initial episdoes are interesting I might put it into my watchlist.

-Vampire Knight Guilty
Okies a 2nd season of Vampire Knight. I liked the 1st one it balanced out comedy and serious drama sort of, but it lacked the action that I was hoping for. In the 2nd PV you can see Zero bitting Kaname. Lots of fans will go wild seeing that one.

-Hyakko
Looks like another typical school themed anime, the only thing that might have it going is that Hirano Aya is voicing it. Its a short 13 episode so I might as well check it out.

-Noramimi2
Not much info but it seems to be about Mascots, I am not sure how it will turn out but it does look cute.

 

-Kemeko Deluxe
A Mecha musume themed anime at least she wears pants.

-Michiko To Hatchin
Not really that interesting from the plot setup will need to see the 1st episdoe to see how it is.

-Yozakura Shijuusou ~Yozakura Quartet~
A supernatural comedy anime of some sorts, will have to check out the trailer to see if it is worth watching.

-Shikabane Hime: Aka
After Evangelion I wonder if their productions are getting weaker. Maybe this might be worth a shot, I do expect good animation and lots of action.

-Skip Beat
Most probably skipping this not that interested in Shoujo stuff besides Vampire Knight, but its Inoue Maria voicing so I think it will be good to catch a few episodes.

More Mecha anime for the crew that brought you the pantsless Strike Witches. I hope ti turns out good.

-Ga-rei-zero
Not sure if I want to watch this thorugh but it looks interesting if you like anime with supernatural themes. I will be on the lookout for this one since it might have action elements to it.

-Macademi Wasshoi!
LOL funny cute character design, not sure if I want to watch it though.

-Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka
From Marvelous ENtertainment, but it seems to be an eroge adaptation. I wonder if it will turn out like H20 Footprints.

-Ef ~A tale of melodies~
I missed the 1st season of this anime, but I might take a sneak peak into cause the 1st one did not hold my attention enough, maybe its because it was based off an eroge.

-Casshern SINS
Not sure if I want to watch a remake of the movie Casshern, after Ultraviolet form MADHOUSE I am a litte apprehensive about their remakes.

-Kuroshitsuji
Only reason I am interested in this is Sakamoto Mayaa is voicing it. Other than that its seems more for girls…

-Bihada Ichizoku
I like the character designs of this one so I may take a watch.

-Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh
Does not seem to be my type of show.

-Tentai Senshi Sunred
Might take a look since it is comedy.

-Junjou Romantica 2
Nope not for me but I know a friend who might like this.

-Kurozuka
Sounds like the Lost Odyssey game or is it they copied from them?

-One Outs
Anime based on baseball I assume? Not sure if it will be good.
