Its the final episode and I busted my internet for this!! Lots of screen caps and a cute and happy ending video.
Anime Impressions / Review
The scene starts of with Miyafuji strapping on the spare Striker Unit and going head on with the warlock. Minna and the other take back the base from the Colonel. Lynette, Sanya, Charlotte, Luchinni get back to base to get into their Striker Unit to join the fight. The Warlock sensing a defeat retreats to the sinking Akagi and fuses with it. Minna splits up the group and Perinne, Lynette and Miyafuji were tasked to destroy the core. Along the way Miyafuji and Lynette lose their guns but they make it into the depths of the Akagi Neuroi ship. Miyafuji use her magic and creates her striker unit into a bomb like weapon dropping onto the core. The Akagi explodes and the Witches were overjoyed with happiness. Perinne sees in the distant the Neurio cloud over her homeland Gallia disappears and she is happy that her home is free, she also seems to take a little more liking to Miyafuji. The Witches return to base now as the war with the neuroi is over and the unit officially disbands.
The end credits show what our girls do after they disbanded. Mio ends up in a school training girls, Perinne and Lynette go plant flowers back at Gallia, Charlotte and Luchinni are seen eating Spaghetti. Sanya and Elia take their usual outdoor baths. Minna, Erica and Barkhorn travel and Miyafuji returns back home learning to master her healing skills. Later a Strike Witch from the 47th Army divisions crashes at Miyafuji’s home and delivers her a letter saying her its from her father Dr. Miyafuji to the surprise of Miyafuji herself.
I really like this anime a lot and am sad that its over. Despite what the initial impression are of Gonzo delivering a fan-service kind of thing, I kind of felt connected with the characters, their relationship with each other and their individual stories. It was never a dull moment watching it with all its jokes and serious moments, I do wish it will continue. The character designs are really nice although they could wear some pants! But the overall story and themes of trust and friendship makes it a special show. I really like ending videos and theme song, showing all the characters now doing their own thing. I do wonder if a 2nd season will come or an OVA of short since Miyafuji’s father is still alive. I do recommend getting this anime from BOST or Crunchyroll to watch.
