Title: Forget you Not
Anime Impressions
A nice touching episode on Minna. Miyafuji receives a present from the Captain of the Akagi and later a letter from one of the young sailors aboard Akagi, but Minna stops him from giving it to her. Miyafuji is puzzled. Miyafuji opens the present and it was a Strike Witch model doll and Miyafuji and Lynette both found it very cute. The story later goes into Minna’s past of how she lost her fiancee a mechanic that serviced her striker unti, to the Neuroi and that is why she did not want other to feel her suffering as now. After the battle with the Neuroi a small box cube that exploded into million of smaller cubes, Minna spots the car she and her fiancee drove to escape the Neuroi in their home country. She later discovers a letter that was suppose to be given to her after her mission by her fiancee but never made it out alive from the Neuroi attack. She cries to ease her sorrow and pain while Mio waits nearby. Later Miaya fuji and the other go out to say goodbye to the sailors of the Akagi and Minna decides to sing as it was broadcast over the radio to encourage the sailors going away.
From this episode I gather that Minna is closer to Mio than other. It was rather anti-climatic at the end with her pointing a gun towards Mio, which kind of confuses me after she allowed Miyafuji and the others to go to the Akagi to thank the sailors and she herself singing a song as they departed from port. I found the Letter scene between Miyafuji and the Sailor rather cute. Lynette gets excited seeing it remarking that its a love letter.
