Star Ocean 4 on XBOX 360 rant

Funny how some are ready to go defend their favourite platform. With SE releasing SO4 on xbox360 ps3 users are up in arms against MS and Xbox360 however have they ever thought of this instead:
Developers need to put food on their table
Making games / being in the creative industry is hard work and one has to make the decisions to write software for the platform with the widest possible audience. SE most probably did what they did to spread out their risk.
Porting software is not easy
Porting Software to work on different hardware architecture is very difficult itself unless there is unified Hardware spec that the 3 console manufactures can agree on, else porting software will be at best difficult and the losing persons are the end users themselves who might find shoddy ports of their favourite games. But that is an ideal that is sometimes not available to the developer for reasons.
Lazy developer causes? More like Lazy management planning
If a game software title should be multi-platform it should be decided from the start so as to prevent suffering during production. I believe that the director / producer should do their homework from the start before starting the project. I played some Multi-platform games on my PS3 and they have a couple of issues.
Well I am sad that xbox360 is gaining SO4 first whether is shows up on PS3 we have yet to see. While we know that MS paid a deal to have SO4, Last Remanant and Tales of Vesperia on xbox 360, I am still happy I got a PS3 instead of a xbox, due to a better finishing of the hardware product, I believe the games will com eventually, but I may have to get a xbox360 just to play that game. But I feel sometimes consoles exclusives are better for the gamers as developers will have a higher success rate of making sure the game works well.
However I on flip-side, developers should go multi-platform if they can for it will definitely reach a wider audience, but sometimes this is not possible due to the closed propriety nature of the consoles.
