Library Wars 05 - Iku Kasahara perents come to visit.

Summary

Iku has been hiding from her parents that she joined the Library Task Force. So they decide to visit her in Tokyo to see how she is doing. WHen they mee they Iku gives the impression that she is doing a desk job. She tries to get Shibasaki to switch places with her, telling them that she instead is doing all those military stuff.

However during their tour of the library, Iku apprehends a Book thief much to the shock of her dad. When things settled her mom starts crying again just like back when she was younger when she decided to leave for Tokyo. Instead this time her dad defends her reasons and ask her why she decided to join the Library Task Force. Kasahara goes to tell about the incident at the bookshop much to the laughter of her mom. Iku this time cries as her parents depart after their final meal together. Both her parents know she is in good hands having met all the staff and touring the facility.

As Doujo cleans the room where Kasahara’s dad stayed, he noticed he had borrowed the Library Magazine and bookmarked the page of her daughter having saved the Library Task Force President. Doujou smiles knowing she has resolved her family problems.

Impressions

A heart warming episode this one mixed together with comedy elements. There were some dialogue I could not get like when Kasahara’s dad ask Doujou about the Library. This episode concludes the story of Kasahara and her parents and I was glad it ended well. I love how she tries to keep her job secret from them. I am looking forward to see if she will hook up with Doujou or Tezuka.
